Unleash your inner Robin Hood and discover the thrilling sport of archery at West Stow Country Park. Arnor Archery is proud to present an Introducing Archery Course, starting on Saturday 10 June 2023 from 1.00pm. Additional sessions are planned for Saturday 22 July 2023, Saturday 5 August 2023 and more, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to take part in this exciting activity.
The 3-hour course is led by a certified Archery GB instructor and covers everything you need to know about the modern takedown recurve bow. Participants will learn the theories behind the bow, practice with different sizes and learn how to shoot it. The course will include a mix of classroom and range activities and ensure you get plenty of shooting time. All equipment is provided, along with personal tuition.
The course is partly outdoor, so visitors are advised to dress appropriately for the weather. It is suitable for adults and accompanied young people aged 15 and over, and all participants must pay the fee to take part. Attendees should meet at the West Stow Visitor Centre 10 minutes before the start time, as the course will commence promptly.
